This is a vintage chuya obi with dramatic dyed pattern of chrysanthemum with 'tsubodare'(jag drip) pattern.
It is made of a kind of crepe silk and embroidery is added at places.
The other side has check and grape pattern which is woven.
Textile is jinken(rayon) and has soft but textured touch.
It has some flaws as photos and figure show for its old age. However, there is not serious damage, and as a whole it is in very good condition.
It can be tied on antique kimonos!
