This is a haori with border pattern dyed in soft gradated tones.
Textile is rinzu, silk with damask effect, and has soft touch.

Along most of the seams and the side folds, discoloration and smudges can be seen.
The discoloration is rather prominent around the armholes and the outer seams of the right sleeve.
Also, faint patinas can be seen over the sleeves and the back.
