This is a
fukuro obi with colorful 'dokyo' (copper mirror) pattern, which is woven with
tsume tsuzure weaving technique.
Bold
phoenix and flowers pattern is woven in it.
One threads by one threads, it was woven elaborately with nails, and it had to be taken incredibly long time to be completed. It has special kind of comfortable and medium touch of
tsume tsuzure silk.
Unfortunately it is well worn and has rather many flaws.
Patterned part is rather beautiful, but the solid part has slight or small stains/smudges at places. There also is a folding line.
Please check detail photos.ޡޡ
It may not be able to tie, but it must be wonderful handicraft material or interior decor!
