This is a stunning vintage reversible maru obi.
Its sarasa (chintz) style dyed pattern is full of oriental atmosphere.
The 'hana karakusa' (flower arabesque) is accented with gold dyeing, and with one side, face-to-face shishi (lions) will come out, and with the other side, exotic phoenixes will attract attentions.
Textile is soft and smooth plain silk.

Unfortunately, it has tears in the middle part, and textile becomes weak at places.
Sorry, they're not in any photo but, about the tesaki end where marked X in the figure, there are faint stains.
Also, it has a couple of tears, not frays any more.
