This is a gorgeous nagoya obi with charming 'tsuzumi'(Japanese drum) and fan pattern which is woven. Behind the bold pattern it has lovely which is woven.
pattern of 'karabana'( imaginary Chinese flower).
Textile is jinken(rayon) and has medium touch.

White parts on the patterns are discolored caused by patinas. One side of maegara( the patterned part of belt part, which will be the belly part when it is tied ) has blackish smudge (may be caused by fray), so please use the other side.
The figure (X) shows prominent folding line. Please check details with photos and the figure.

It has some wear all over and it is difficult for us to say if it is wearable or not. However it is a wonderful piece with its classical and gorgeous design.
