This is a obi design paper for obi.
It is from a one of major obi weavers in Kyoto.
To weave obi, obi weavers bought these obi design pictures at expensive prices.
Artists drew these pictures elaborately in cutthroat competing - design had to be artistic and new, but it had to be thought to be sold well as obi.
We heard that the excellent design sheets were very expensive. The weavers had to want the designs which would become best sellers, and they had to pay big money if they convinced that the design would bring big profit.
We feel we can see such story of kimono market beyond this fantastic picture.

It is drawn on silk fabric, and it is NOT lined.

It is not pure art work, but it must be very valuable from the other point of view.
It is from mid Showa period(1926-1989) or later.

It must be an excellent interior decor!

*When it has some flaws, we checked in the figure. Please check detail photos and figure.

**We can't fold it. If we fold it, a folding line will remain, and pigment must be damaged. So we must put it in the thick box. So, we are sorry but the shipping cost becomes little bit expensive. And when the pigment is very thick, we can not send by SAL because of size.
