This is a blue
irotomesode from pre WWII.
In its dyed pattern, exotic 'shishi' (lions) are playing around among beautiful peonies and 'mari' (ball for girls).
The pattern is gorgeously accented with embroidery.
There are 3 kamon (family crests) remained undyed.
The sleeves are gracefully long, which is the feature of kimonos from pre WWII.
Lapel is bachi-eri(folded lapel).
Textile is soft silk.
As shown in photo J, stitches are coming loose at the right armhole.
The patterned area has some stains and patinas (see photo E and F).

As a whole it is in very good condition and beautiful piece!
