This kappa(rain coat) is from late Meiji period(1868-1912) or later.
Both sides are made of cotton, and has charming check pattern, which is woven.
Textile has soft touch.
We are not sure whether fabric is the right side. ( It seems to be reversible.)
It has some flaws as photos show. However, as a whole it is in very good condition.
