This is a vintage chuya obi with modern checkerboard pattern, which is dyed.
In the squares are beautiful flower arabesque which somewhat recalls Art Nouveau.
Textile is jinken(rayon) or silk and jinken(rayon) blend, and it's soft and smooth like sioze silk.
The backside textile is deep blue-green jinken (rayon).
Patinas and stains can be seen in the pale colored parts.
There is a noticeable stain in the otaiko (square bow) area.
The reverse side has the large water stain B.
