This beautiful fukuro obi has an impressive phoenix on the otaiko (square bow) area and intricate 'karabana'(imaginary Chinese flower) motifs on the maegara (front pattern) area.
The bird and flowers are colorfully dyed over 'kikko' (tortoise shell) patterned pale orange background and also given kinkoma embroidery and sagara embroidery.
Textile is silk, and it's soft.
It could be unworn with the basting stitches remaining along both the ends.
However, there are a few flaws as indicated in the figure.
Marked A are faint side-way wrinkle lines.
However, they're not at all disturbing, and so this piece is in very good condition.
