This is a vintage black maru obi with wonderful embroidery work - peony, chrysanthemum, bobbin and 'temari'(ball for girls) motifs are embroidered elaborately.
Embroidery part is three parts of both sides ( please check the marks of figure).
This piece has very magical and sophisticated atmosphere. One reason of it must be its rather subdued colors.
Textile is black shusu silk and has very smooth touch.
Embroidery parts have some patinas and slight discoloration. There is a slight folding line.
It has some other flaws as photos show, but as a whole it is in very good condition.
