This is a high-end
nagoya obi with serene mountain scenery pattern, which is woven with
tsume tsuzure technique.
One threads by one threads, it was woven elaborately with nails, and it had to be taken incredibly long time to be completed. It has special kind of comfortable and rather stiff touch of
tsume tsuzure silk.
It has a prominent folding line for its thick textile.
The white parts of the pattern have patinas and discoloration.
Also, discoloration can be seen in some places like above the otaiko (square bow) pattern.
