This is a vintage chuya obi with exotic 'hana karakusa' (flower arabesque) pattern, which is dyed in subdued colors.
There are also pine, 'shiba' (grass), willow and dandelion in the pattern, and lovely swallows are sweeping among them.
The wrong side has woven stripes with 'hanabishi'(flower-diamond) put in rows.
Textiles both the right side and the wrong side are a little stiff jinken (rayon).
As the photos and the sheet show, there are patinas and smudges.
However, as a whole, it's in very good condition.
