This is an antique juban(undergarment) with fabulous design!
A women is doing handstand on the ladder, and two samrai are playing shamisen(Japanese guitar)!
We don't know what is happening here precisely, but the lady seems to be a geisha, and she is entertaining - - - - -
Textile is chirimen(crepe) silk and has soft and comfortable touch.
It seems to be from Meiji period(1868-1912) .
It has some flaws as photos show. However, as a whole it is in very good condition.
