This is an antique maru obi from Meiji period(1868-1912).
It has exceptionally fine 'karabana'( imaginary Chinese flower) pattern, which is woven elaborately.
Textile is exquisite silk, and has very soft and comfortable touch.
It has some flaws as photos show. Because of its old age, it may not have enough strength for wearing. However, it must be an excellent handicraft material or interior decor!
