This is a graceful vintage fukusa with the motif of beautiful 'kaioke' (a hexagonal container to store clam shells, which are used ancient shell matching game - 'kaiawase' ). They have elegant Japanese blind and a lady in kimono on them. Each shell also designed and dyed elaborately.
Textile is silk and the wrong side is rinzu, silk with damask effect. Both have soft touch.
It has some flaws from its old age as photos show.
Kinkoma embroidery is added partly however some parts are coming loose. It has rather prominent stains and several small holes. Please check details with photos and the figure.
This is a wonderful piece to enjoy the vintage atmosphere.
