This is a silk bolt for haori. It has beautiful
shibori dyed pattern all over.
Its fabric shrinks because of the tie-dyed technique, but it has enough length for making haori after stretching.
You can soak in water and stretch by hand as it dries. From time to time you can just pull the fabric which is drying.
In two part, it is cut and jointed( in two solid lines of the figure ), and in the other lines, the pattern is changed - it is designed for making haori. The last 200cm- 79in is shibori-dyed only half of the width.
It has some flaws as photos show. However, as a whole it is in very good condition.
