This is a vintage black nagoya obi with charming rose pattern - it is painted with pigment. This technique is called 'pente', which was the replacement of dyeing when people were poor during/just after WWII.
In addition, three rose motif is embroidered.
Textile is soft jinken(rayon).
It has some small holes and there are whitish frayed spots at places.Ž¡Ž¡Just below the otaiko motif, there are several prominent frays.
However, it is still charming piece!
