This is a graceful
nagoya obi woven with
tsume tsuzure technique.
One threads by one threads, it was woven elaborately with nails, and it had to be taken incredibly long time to be completed. Textile has a special kind of comfortable and stiff touch of
tsume tsuzure weaving.
It has luxurious mist pattern, which is woven with gold or silver coated threads.
As the photos and the sheet show, it has some flaws.
There are some stains and discoloration which could stand out against its tender ivory color.
However, without not much conspicuous damage on the otaiko (square-boa) area, it still could be enjoyed wearing.
