This is an antique furoshiki with wonderful sashiko stitches in the corners. Chrysanthemum and other traditional patterns are embroidered elaborately. This piece is added sashiko in the especially large part.
Textile seems to be hand spun and hand woven in early Meiji period(1868-1912). It is rather thick and has soft and comfortable touch. In addition, its deep natural ai color is exceptionally beautiful!
It has some flaws as photos show. However, as a whole it is in very good condition.
