This is a lovely vintage
maru obi with wonderful 'kusudama'(flowers ball) pattern of embroidery.
*The reverse side doesn't have much of the embroidery pattern .
Textile is silk with damask effect (rinzu) of check pattern, and it also has dot-in-diamond pattern of shibori(tie-dye).
As the photos and the sheet show, it has some flaws.
Discoloration and patinas are spread with age.
On both the sides, there are some large stains like the one in the photo B.
Near the otaiko pattern, there are two tiny holes.
However, as a whole, it's still in very good condition and could be a fantastic display.
