This is a chu-furisode with graceful misu (blinds) and kaiawase (ancient shell matching game) pattern, which is wonderfully dyed.
On kaiawase shells, ancient people and other amazing pattern are used with fine embroidery work at parts!
The pattern must refer to a famous ancient story!?
Fine embroidery work is done all over such picture parts. ( Usually embroidery work is on the limited part like left front and right chest, but this piece's embroidery is unusual!)
Textile is silk, and it has soft and slightly textured touch.
There are some flaws as the photos show, and it has stains and discoloration due to the age.
However, as a whole, it is in very good condition.
Please see photos for details.
