This is a fabulous maru obi from around Taisho period(1912-1926). Textile is silk and diamond pattern is woven all over. Fan with ume blossom and bamboo motifs are embroidered very thickly with thin threads elaborately.
Embroidery is on the otaiko part and maegara( the patterned part of belt part, which will be the belly part when it is tied ) part of one side. Another side has rather small bamboo pattern in two parts.
It has some flaws as photos show. However, as a whole it is in very good condition.
