This is a kimono silk fabric cut into houmongi shape and stitched roughly before sewing to make houmongi. Kimono is made of a bolt of cloth which is 14.2" in width.
This houmongi has elegant grass motif, which is dyed with yuzen technique.
Textile is exquisite silk, and has very soft touch.
It has some stains and rather prominent discoloration.
However, it must be an excellent handicraft material!
