This is a kakeshita obi from late Edo period(1603-1868).
It is considered this was once a juban(undergarment) for a noble person. It was remade for Kakeshita obi which was worn under uchikake.
It has alluring all kanoko dot pattern, which is dyed with
shibori technique elaborately. Its has deep
shibori asperity texture, which is completely different from contemporary
shibori technique.
Textile is soft silk and has very fine touch.
It has some slight flaws as photos and figure show. As a whole it is in very good condition.
