This is a graceful summer maru obi from around Taisho period(1912-1926) .
Royal cart, willow and flowers are dyed with very elegant touch. Some parts are added fine embroidery.
Because of its old age, unfortunately it has some flaws as photos show.
Textile is ro, and has very soft and comfortable touch.
Patterns of both sides are different, we show two otaiko sample picture. Royal cart side has many stains and other flaws in the otaiko part and other parts, so it is difficult to wear. However, willow and bridge motif side is rather beautiful and you may be able to wear with antique kimonos.
