This is a fabulous men's asa(ramie) hakama.
It is considered to be from Meiji period(1868-1912) or before then.
Textile is very thin and delicate and has special kind of crisp touch of asa.
It's thin yarn is hand plied elaborately.
It has some small stains in places and a small hole as photos show.
However, considering the age, it is in very good condition. For handicraft material or hand plied Japanese asa sample.
