This is a vintage maru obi with dramatic butterfly and 'tsuzumi'(Japanese drum) pattern, which is woven boldly. Textile is exquisite silk, and has very soft and comfortable touch.
It has tears and frays in the hems. It has some other flaws as photos show.
We can't say it is in very good condition, but still charming piece for its wonderful design.
