This is a silk
nagoya obi with rare pattern - cherry blossom with kanji character 'fu'(women) is dyed on rinzu silk. Before and around WWII, some 'fujin-kai'(women group) were formed to collaborate the war, and this piece's 'fu' is of such 'fujin-kai'.
The owner had to tie it for the occasion like seeing soldiers off to the front.
It has some flaws as photos show. However, as a whole it is in very good condition.
