This is an antique ban set, tapestry used in a temple.
We can know the age of this piece from the text in the wrong side. It reads Bunkyu 2 (1862) ( end of Edo period(1603-1868) ).
Textiles are rinzu silk, and lined with thin plain silk.
The top part is made of wood and metal parts are added.
One has especially beautiful embroidery and
shibori work - it was the older kosode(kimono of Edo) and remade into this ban. Please enjoy its wonderful details with more photos. The kosode had to be owned by very felicitous family.
It has some flaws as photos show. However, as a whole it is in very good condition.
