This is a fabulous geisha's susohiki from pre WWII.
Susohiki lieterally means `trail the skirt' and this particular kimono is much longer than other kimono. This is worn to do the elegant dance with a folding fan in the Japanese style drawing room.
This piece has wonderful design - it is the famous battle scene of Gojo Bridge,
Yoshitsune and
Benkei .
Yoshitsune is flying and full moon is seen over him!
What a wonderful design it is!
Textile is soft kinsha, fine crepe silk.
Its black color is vivid and alive.
It has some flaws as photos show. However, as a whole it is in very good condition.
For the connoisseurs!
