This is a vintage hitoe(not lined) haori with appealing clam shell pattern, which is dyed with shibori technique. shibori is Japanese tie dyeing technique, and it gives the textile very unique texture.
Textile is rinzu, silk with damask effect, and has soft and comfortable touch.
Unfortunately it has many prominent patinas and stains at places. It also has slight discoloration and sleeves are roughly sewn to be shortened. We can't say it is in very good condition, but still charming piece for its wonderful design.
