This is an antique furoshiki. It is from early Meiji period(1868-1912). Textile is hand spun and woven elaborately, and has soft touch.
Name 'Sotomura' is dyed out white, and two hems are added sashiko embroidery.
It has some flaws as photos show. The right side is fully discolored and many stains, but the color of wrong side has still beautiful ai color.
It also must be excellent handicraft material.
