This is a men's juban(undergarment) with wonderful design - crescent moon¼£¼£and boat are dyed, and shibori technique is mainly used. We are sorry but we don't know what the text means.
Textile has very soft and smooth touch.
It has some flaws as photos show. However, they are slight or small and not disturbing. As a whole it is in very good condition and beautiful piece.

'Gomangoku demo Okazaki sama wa' - it is the part of a song, and meaning is ' Lo£? of Okazaki castle earns only 5 mangoku( unit of rice production ), but - -- - -' and the song continues ' the castle is crowded with boats'. Okazaki castle is small one, but Ieyasu Tokugawa was born in this castle and very venerable one ---
