This michiyuki coat is from around Taisho period(1912-1925), and has wonderful design! Dramatic butterfly motif is dyed colorfully all over it! Embroidery is partly added.
Sleeves are gracefully long, which is the feature of kimono from pre WWII.
It has wonderful nostalgic taste of Taisho period(1912-1925).
Textile is soft silk, and has metallic stripe pattern, which is woven. It is not lined.
It has some patinas and discoloration, which are comparatively prominent. Especially they are prominent in the chest and belly part.
However, it is still very charming and valuable piece!
