This is a fantastic purple kimono from around Taisho period(1912-1925).
It has dramatic butterfly pattern, which is woven with urushi coated threads. What a wonderful design it is!
Sleeves are gracefully long, which is the feature of kimono from pre WWII.
Textile is exquisite silk, and has very soft touch.
Unfortunately it has many stains and discoloration as photos show. They are prominent. We can not say it is in very good condition, but it is still very charming piece for its fantastic design.
