This is a vintage okoshi(undergarment) made of wonderful cotton fabric. It has wonderful star shape pattern, which is dyed with katazome technique elaborately. Both sides have same katazome dyed pattern.
Textile seems to be very old one and seems to be hand spun/woven one. Thickness is medium and has soft touch.
It seemed not to be well washed, resist paste seem to remain in the white parts slightly ( they can be seen by microscope ). We are not sure about dyestuff ( whether it is pure natural one or synthetic one ), but at first, dyestuff may come out when you wash it.
Katazome fabric is made of two fabrics, and another pattern one is added in a corner. In the wrong side, beautiful ai color cotton is added.
It has some flaws as photos show, but as a whole it is in very good condition.
