This is a vintage purple kimono from around Taisho period(1912-1925).
Fan motif is dyed with shibori technique, and flowers motifs are dyed colorfully in it.
Textile is rinzu, silk with damask effect, and has bold kikko(tortoise shell) pattern, and it has soft touch.
Sleeves are gracefully long, which is the feature of kimono from pre WWII.
It has wonderful old fashioned taste.
It has some flaws as photos show. However, discoloration of background color and white parts are not prominent, and stains and patinas are also not disturbing. As a whole it is in very good condition.
