This is an antique ranru(boro), cotton rag.
Textiles are hand spun and hand woven cotton, and it is well well worn, and many parts are repaired also very old cotton.
This piece is from early Meiji period(1868-1912) or earlier. There is nothing which looks intentional.
If you wash it, it must be more beautiful.
It is really an unintended art!Ž¼Ž£Ž¼Ž£
