This is a fantastic antique furoshiki - the right side is made of zanshi-ori( hand woven with odd yarns ) - it has beautiful stripe pattern. Because of its technique, its stripe pattern is not even. Weft white yarns are blended partly. Textile is medium thick and has soft touch. Its yarns seem to be hand spun.
This piece is lined with fabulous katazome cotton. Its fabric is also hand spun and hand woven cotton, and butterfly pattern is dyed with katazome technique!
It also has another small antique katazome cotton, which has bamboo and sparrow pattern.
Sashiko stitches are added in the corners.
We strongly recommend this wonderful furoshiki!
