This is an antique asa(ramie) kimono.
It is hand woven with hand plied asa yarn elaborately!
Textile is delicate, but has textured and comparatively stiff touch.
It has wonderful kasuri pattern - butterfly, sparrow, pine tree, bamboo and other motifs are woven elaborately with double ikat technique.
It has some small holes, slight discoloration and stains. However, it must be an excellent handicraft material!
