This is a rare men's juban(undergarment) from around Taisho period(1912-1925).
It is made of plain silk and has incredible erotic design is dyed. In addition, skull and ogre motifs are dyed in the sleeves( it is made of same fabrics. Not jointed other fabrics.). It must imply ' Even if people enjoy their lives, at last, they all become skulls'.
Lining is removed and front seam are unpicked. There are many stains and other flaws. We can not say it is in very good condition, but it is still very charming piece for its fantastic design.
