This is a fabulous 'kosode' from bakumatsu(ending Edo Period(1603-1867)) or early Meiji period(1868-1912).
Textile is plain silk, and various motifs are dyed out white, and fabulous embroidery work is added all over it!
Please check its incredible embroidery details with more photos.
Black embroidery threads are missing in the back part ( E in figure ). It has some flaws as photos show for its old age. However, as a whole it is in very good condition, and BEAUTIFUL piece!
