This is a fabulous fukusa from late Edo Period( 1603-1867). It has exceptionally bold fan motif, which is fully embroidered with gold and white threads.
We don't have enough words to describe it! Please check detail photos.
Textile is shusu silk and lined with thin plain silk.
It has stain in the right side ( the first flaw photo ). The right side also have some slight smudges and small stains. Lining fabric has holes and prominent stains.
