This piece is a rare geisha's susohiki kimono and juban(undergarment) set.
Susohiki lieterally means `trail the skirt' and this particular kimono is longer than other kimono and the bottom is padded. This is worn to do the elegant dance with a folding fan in the Japanese style drawing room.
This piece is made of plain silk, and has owner's(geisha's) name is dyed boldly with kanoko dot( it reads Niwaka ?ko - we are sorry but we can't read one character).
Juban(undergarment) is irregular shape - for dancing, front part is closed near the bottom. Its color and shape is particular one for geisha's.
It has some flaws as photos show, but as a whole it is in very good condition.
