This is a unique susohiki from mid Showa period(Showa:1926-1989).
Susohiki lieterally means `trail the skirt' and this particular kimono is much longer than other kimono and the bottom is padded. This is worn to do the elegant dance with a folding fan in the Japanese style drawing room.
This piece has exotic 'karabana'(imaginary flower in China) pattern, which is dyed colorfully. Textile is exquisite silk, and has very soft touch.
Bottom is heavily padded.
Lapel is narrower than usual kimono - it might be for girls.
It has some flaws as photos show, but as a whole it is in very good condition.
