This is a fabulous geisha's susohiki from around Taisho period(1912-1925).
Susohiki lieterally means `trail the skirt' and this particular kimono is much longer than other kimono and the bottom is padded. This is worn to do the elegant dance with a folding fan in the Japanese style drawing room.
This piece has dramatic
Benkei ,
Yoshitsune and Gojo Bridge picture, which is dyed vividly.
Okiya's kamon is added.
Textile is exquisite silk, and has very soft touch.
It has some flaws as photos show(discoloration is not disturbing), but as a whole it is in very good condition.
