This is a luxurious uchishiki, fabric for Buddhist altar.
It is from pre WWII, and has gorgeous embroidery work - 'kaendaiko'( drum with flame), cloud and other Japanese instruments are embroidered with gold threads. Please check details with more photos.
Gorgeous kinran fabric is added in the upper part, and it is lined with rinzu silk.
It has stains and patinas in the wrong side, but as a whole it is in very good condition.
