This is a large uchishiki, fabric for Buddhist altar.
This piece has stunning and gorgeous dragon circle pattern, which is woven colorfully in the red background.
Textile is silk, and lined with cotton.
Dedicator's name and temple's name ('Saiko-ji') are written in the wrong side.
It is from ending Meiji period(1868-1912).
It has some flaws as photos show, but as a whole it is in very good condition.
