This fukusa is from Meiji period(1868-1912) or late Edo Period( 1603-1867).
It has sophisticated 'kaioke' (a hexagonal container to store clam shells, which are used ancient shell matching game - 'kaiawase' ) motif, which is elaborately embroidered. Its embroidery threads are very thin and elaborately sewn. Please check its wonderful details with more photos.
Textile is rinzu, silk with damask effect, and has soft touch. It is lined with chirimen(crepe) silk.
It has some flaws as photos show, but as a whole it is in very good condition.
